Course number
This course enables participants to safely operate and install various types of Mast Climbing Work
Platforms (MCWP). The course covers operating the MCWP, the assembly of the platform and controlling/safety devices, installation of mast and ties, and movement of the machine. In addition the participant will gain knowledge of any local regulations relating to the supply and use of MCWPs, risk assessments and method statements and to be capable of final assembly visual and functional checks.

Objectives:
The participant will be:
•Educated on the relevant local regulations, standards, codes and guidance for the design, supply, use and management of MCWPs
•Able to install any MCWP configuration according to the manufacturer manual
•Able to deploy best practice emergency procedures in an event of an emergency
•Capable of carrying out daily checks prior to use
•Able to undertake risk assessments for typical elements of an MCWP installation/dismantle, including hazard identification and risk reduction
Target group: Mast climbing work platform installers
Duration: 40 hours (depending on experience)
Course language: English (request if course is available in local language)
Number of participants: min.2 and max.4
Prerequisites for participation:
Participants must be physically able to work in the selected work environment.
Participants shall supply safety footwear and working clothes.
